Female Decreased Sexual Desire
and Distress
Antidepressants. Sexual Desire.
If you feel like you have to choose, it can be hard to know where to turn.
And with few options available to women, it can be difficult to know where to start.
We’re conducting a confidential research study for women who are actively treating
their depression but have become frustrated by a decrease in their sexual desire.
This research study will provide women who are eligible to participate with:
• An in-depth consultation with a study doctor to discuss their concerns.
• A private and supportive setting to ask any questions they may have.
• Information about available options, including this research study.
So if you’re between the ages of 18 and 50, have not experienced menopause, and
are unsure who to talk to about your decreased sexual desire, you may want to consider
talking to us.

Depression and Executive
Function Impairment
Struggling with completing daily tasks or activities? Lacking
focus and organization? Taking an antidepressant medication?
Even if most of your depression symptoms are reduced with medication, you may still
have problems with planning, making decisions, organization, or memory, which are
all tied to your cognitive ability. When you frequently experience this lack of
focus, managing your day-to-day activities can become increasingly difficult. Although
antidepressant drugs effectively treat many depression symptoms, there is no drug
currently approved for treating the cognitivied symptoms experienced by many patients.
Now, local doctors are conducting a medical research study evaluating an investigational
medication when taken with an approved antidepressant. If you have been diganosed
with major depression and are habitually experiencing cognitive symptoms, such as
lack of concentration and focus, this medical research study might be of interest.
To pre-qualify for this study, you must:
- Be 18 to 55 years of age, AND -Have been diagnosed with recurrent, non-psychotic
major depression for at least two years, AND
-Have been taking an antidepressant medication for at least two months, AND -Experience
continued problems with concentration and focus, AND -Have been stable for the past
12 weeks.
